THE FAQ’s ABOUT PICKING OUT A CHARTER BOAT.

 Q. WHY SHOULD I USE A PROFESSIONAL CHARTER?

 A.  Fishing with a licensed charter boat captain guarantees a safe successful trip.  They know the area, fish regularly and work with other captains the captains are all licensed by the US Coast guard and have proper safety equipment aboard to ensure a safe and enjoyable sport-fishing event.

 Q. IS A FISHING LICENSE REQUIRED ON A CHARTER BOAT?

 A.  All persons age 16 or older are required to have a fishing license. A “all species” resident or non-resident one-day fishing license can be purchased at The Harbor House located near the boat dock.  If you already have an Illinois fishing license, bring it.  You must have the proper Lake Michigan salmon stamp affixed to the back of the license.  Again you can purchase that stamp at The Harbor House.

 Q. WHO CAN ENJOY A CHARTER?

 A. Anyone.  Corporations charter sports fishing boats to take their clients out, friends, families, grandma’s and grandpa’s, large groups charter several boats and arrange their own mini tournaments.  Charter boat fishing is great fun for most anyone.
