What To Bring
Now that you have selected and reserved a date for a sport fishing charter, let me try and assist with some information which will add to your wonderful trip.
1) Illinois Fishing License - If you already have an Illinois Fishing License you will need to bring it with you. Please make sure you have a Lake Michigan Salmon Stamp on the back. If you do not have an Illinois Fishing License, you can purchase one from the Harbor House. It is at the foot of the charter pier, which is where you will meet on your charter date.
2) Jacket/Rain gear - As with any trip, it is always necessary to check the weather forecast for the day of your Lake Michigan fishing charter. We want you to have an enjoyable time. The Lake Michigan Fishing Charter Captains reserve the right to cancel charters if safety is threatened. .
3) Non-slip shoes – Tennis or running and sandals with soft rubber soles are the ideal footwear, as opposed to dress shoes or hard sole boots.
4) Cooler - For transporting your catch, it is not necessary to bring a large cooler aboard. All boats are equipped with adequate space to store your fish and keep them on ice. At the end of your trip your fish will be bagged. Fish cleaning is also available.
5) It is advisable to bring your own food and drinks. Space is available for small coolers. We can provide catering if arranged in advance.
